In the first semester of English 1301, I gained numerous amount of skills that I never had before. I learned how to write professionally by deleting unnecessary and repetitive words, avoiding b-verbs, and conjunctions. These skills helped me prosper as a writer and made me want to learn new things to improve more over time.

In this semester of 1302, I have various amounts of skills I would love to gain. As a personal goal, I appeal to learning how to write for college applications, resumes, and competitive essays. In the next upcoming months, I will have to prepare essays for internships, college applications, and programs which will bring me into a new chapter in my life.

I desire to learn how to write more argumentative in a professional way. Last semester, I did not receive my aspired grade on the argument paper. Therefore, I would enjoy to practice and improve how to correctly argue and persuade in an essay. This is a skill that I should have especially in a business aspect that will come in place in the near future.

Lastly, I want to learn tips/tricks for the SAT/ACT reading and writing section is also an objective I would like to learn this semester. In March 2020, I will be completing my first SAT which I have practiced over time. By learning how to navigate the reading/writing section of the SAT it will help me improve my score and reach my personal goal.
